Must we be an expert to do this? I have one lens which fit my nikon D300s but I think I can not do this. the lens is not fully out of order but some damaged. I can still use but afraid of broke fully while I try to repair it.

Thanks Jenn. It was super hot (did I mention that already) but we had a lot of fun and I'm happy with the shots I got. Wish I was able to get some from the reenactments but didn't get over there. The lone soldier was firing the cannon too but we just missed that and didn't have a chance to wait around for another. Would have liked to get an action shot of that!

Robert, so envious. I really wish I could have made it for a few shots this weekend and to enjoy the festivities. I love your shots....expecially the lone solider and the guys on the fence.

Nice to see you on the video! The HelpPortrait session we did became even more meaningful when I found out yesterday that one of the people we photographed had just died unexpectedly (well, as unexpected as it could be for someone in a nursing home), and the portrait will be used for the memorial service. [I think that one of the main reasons I wanted to do HelpPortrait is that I know how photos can help - while it is often too painful for me to look at, I'm still extremely grateful that my daughter's college sent us a great professional photo of her after she died].
